The truth is that I think Steve was brilliant, but in fact, no more brilliant than many among us.

Steve was a "builder" not a "talker" and this is almost unheard of in CEO-land. Most upper management is incapable true vision or appreciation of anything beyond saving $.05 per unit, revenue curves, and price elasticity.

Steve thought beyond those things and cared about making great products for his customers. That wasn't rhetoric, it was the secret of his success and yet he selflessly proffered it countless times but few ever heard him.

I like steve. I think he was brilliant. I think his brilliance is there for the taking if we only listen.
